Apple Crisp

Apple Crisp fills your house with the most delicious cinnamon aroma!


The ingredients you need:
For filling: 
6 peeled, cored and sliced Granny Smith (or other crisp) apples 
2 tsp cinnamon 
1 tsp lemon juice 
1/3 cup sugar 
1/4 cup flour 
For Topping: 
3/4 cup flour 
3/4 cup quick cook oats 
1 cup organic dark brown sugar 
1 T granulated sugar 
1 tsp ground cinnamon 
8 T cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces

The tools you need:
2-quart deep baking dish 
measuring cups 
measuring spoons 
medium mixing bowl 
food processor or pastry blender

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Lightly grease baking dish with butter

Toss apples with lemon juice

4.

Add in cinnamon, sugar and flour and toss to coat

Pour coated apples in baking dish and spread out evenly

With a hand pastry blender, combine topping ingredients and work until they form a coarse mixture. You can also use a food processor for this step, with adult supervision!

Sprinkle topping all over the apples

Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, until topping is golden and apples are tender.
