Ginger Snaps

Perfect, bite-sized cookies for the season!


The ingredients you need:
3/4 cup softened unsalted butter 
1 cup packed brown sugar 
1/4 molasses 
1 egg 
2 cups flour 
2 tsp baking soda 
1/2 tsp salt 
2 tsp ginger 
1 tsp cinnamon 
1/4 tsp cloves 
1/4 cup granulated sugar

The tools you need:
measuring spoons 
measuring cups 
large mixing bowl 
medium mixing bowl 
small bowl 
wooden spoon

1.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon and cloves

In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until creamy

3.

Add the egg and molasses and continue beating until well combined

4.

Slowly add the dry ingredients and stir until completely combined.

Roll dough into balls about 1 inch in diameter

6.

Roll balls of dough in the granulated sugar

7.

Place balls about 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet and flatten slightly with the palm of your hand

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 8 minutes, until edges are set and centers are slightly soft
