Stuffed Cheddar Turkey Burgers

These are incredibly easy any night of the week!


The ingredients you need:
1 pound ground turkey 
1 small onion, finely chopped 
salt to taste 
pepper to taste 
2 T olive oil 
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning 
several slices of great cheddar cheese 
your favorite burger buns 
your favorite toppings: tomato, red onion, lettuce

The tools you need:
mixing bowl 
sharp knife 
cutting board 
saute pan 
wooden spoon 
spatula

In a saute pan, heat olive oil over medium heat

Saute onion until translucent, about 3 minutes, over medium heat

Place ground turkey in a large mixing bowl

Combine sauteed onion with the turkey meat until just mixed. If you overmix, the burgers will be tough!

Add spices and mix until just combined

6.

Form 2 small, flat patties for every whole burger you want to make and lay them out on a cutting board

7.

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of half of the patties

Cover each cheese-covered patty with a plain patty and pinch the edges of the patties together so that you cannot see the cheese

Serve with or without a bun. Garnish the plate with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles
